TITLE : Architect

DESCRIPTION :

Terms of Reference (ToR) for an Architect.

1. Developing design concepts and architectural layouts.

2. Preparing detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections.

3. Coordinating with structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers for integrated designs.

4. Ensuring compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.

5. Preparing BoQs, technical specifications, and material schedules.

6. Reviewing and approving architectural drawings from contractors and consultants.

7. Supervising ongoing construction to ensure adherence to architectural plans.

8. Recommending materials, finishes, and design alternatives where required.

9. Providing regular reports on design progress and construction compliance.

10. Conduct meetings to gather requirements and incorporate feedback into the design process.

11. Develop detailed 3D models and architectural visualizations using software such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or Lumion. Create realistic renderings and walkthrough animations to communicate design intent to clients.

12. Assist in preparing architectural presentations for approvals from clients, regulatory bodies, or funding agencies.

13 . Perform site analysis, including environmental impact, sunlight studies, and orientation optimization.

14 . Evaluate contractor/shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs for architectural compliance.

15. Ensure integration of sustainability principles, energy efficiency, and green building practices in design.
